I have decided to interview two of the Kindergarten teachers at the school I work with. I have worked with both teachers and greatly admire their opinions. One teacher has been teacher 27 years and one for 29 years. I know over the years that they have had many things they have had to be advocates for. They have always put the children first in the day. Both teachers are very dedicated and work well beyond the school day. It is not unusual to see the two of them at school until 7:00 or 8:00 in the evening.

  1. Hello Marcie,
I am going to advocate about parental involvement, health, and the special needs of the children. They should all be met. Parental Involvement plays a big part because they need to be able to collaborate with the teachers to see and understand what is going on with their children.

The health of the children is important because it helps to stimulate the brain to help them learn. And they need to know the importance of eating the right foods to help keep them free from health problems, less obesity, and more towards a healthier body.

There special needs need to be dealt with according to what is really going on; and not according to what others think. There are often times children are categorized in a bracket they should not be in because how they may act. That is not the case and can result from behaviors, etc. But can be regulated according to their correct diagnose. And I see the love and concern that my teacher has in trying to help the parental involvement, health, and the special needs of the children, be met; so they can accomplish what they set out for, in life.
